Is it common for cowgirls to get offended if you ask them if they are barrel racers but they are actually calf ropers?

not in my experience, no and I've seen quite a few cowgirls over the years. not only will they not get offended by this question, they'll tell you what kind of riding they've done, want to do, and way more about their horse and tack than you really want to know but that's OK because they're good people

Girls only get offended by things you say if you're ugly or if they're liberal

Someone that gets upset over a genuine question from someone who is curious has their own issues.

Same goes for someone who calls themself a doctor. Clarifying if they mean medical doctor is not rude. It’s a question from someone who doesn’t know.

If a fat one comes on to you and y'all get on the subject of horses tell her your horse is in between your legs, but she's too fat to ride.

Hank Jr. had the same conversation with a high society lady.

Barrel racers are typically considered crazy chicks of the rodeo scene so that’s likely why they were bothered.

Most who rodeo don’t care if you get their event wrong.
