I enjoy the nostalgia from this guy's videos.

I miss the bright light button on the floor. TBH I didn't mind rolling up the windows, and no automatic door locks either.

It was 20 years after the rest of the nation had moved away from floor mounted dimmer switches to steering column ones in Alabama, Those morons kept getting their feet tangled in the steering wheel....
I kid....I kid Alabama folks....they never had no dimmer switch on no mule....

I have a 73 ford f100. Drive it to work sometimes. It was a better time in life. It slows down things for me when I drive it. Also gets 8 mpg. Lol

My dad had a late 60's Ford. It was a manual 3 speed on the column.

I think in 74 after the gas crisis they had a “low fuel economy” light. When you pushed the gas pedal too far it would light up in amber yellow. Its on the right side of this pic

My first ride was a 54 Plymouth Plaza with a flathead straight 6, with 3 on the tree, 6 volt positive ground electrical system with the starter switch on the floor like a dimmer switch. Turn the ignition on at the dash, but had to press the starter button on the floor near the clutch pedal.
No radio, no A/C but good heat. Crank down windows that only took about 2 1/2 cranks to totally lower the windows.

Think the 1993 - 1994 7.3L turbo IDI diesel F-250 was the last peak for those who wanted a real working truck. Mechanical injection, no power windows, locks, or seats.
