Anyone else shocked by this?
CNN
Morning Joe
Etc
All being semi-rational and not overly emotional.
Kind of gives me hope and disappointment at the same time.

No. Most polls were pretty clear than Trump was trending. Don't let the media fool you into thinking they're all true believers, they're not but they played their role like they were told.
The melts from 2016 were strictly because there were no poll indicators.

They left it all on the field in their desire to have Trump jailed, killed and then lose the election. They could not have been more biased and dishonest if they tried. There is no shame in hard work that doesn't pay off. Sometimes you just lose.

They weren’t shocked by what happened because they know they’ve been lying about the facts

They don’t want us to have that. They are seething underneath.
Jake Tapper acting like he’s on Valium. They probably all are.

Local NPR affiliate... (not national show) is whining that Trump declared victory before AP did.
It's... a lotta cope.

They knew what was coming, brave front notwithstanding.

They are in the shocked phase of trauma.

The melt is on their faces.

The melts are more subtle and policy/concern based rather than straight rage. Maddow’s melt about intelligence sharing last night was first rate but in the weeds.

No. Because they actually remember his previous presidency and know he did well. This was all an act, ultimately.

I could tell at 645 pm on CBS that they knew as soon as they started getting independent feedback from exit polls.
It got worse once they tried to ask about the biggest issue which was the economy by a long shot. How they can be so out of touch is amazing but not shocking if you think about it.
They live in these big cities and probably dont get out to the normal average cities/towns often.
Those people have votes to.

The biggest shock for me was listening to Chrissy Matthews. He actually did a pretty decent and rational analysis. He’s not quite as brain dead and brainwashed as his colleagues.

These are mostly fake.
So dumb.
So dumb.

It wasn’t as shocking as 2016.
Writing on the wall was there.
I’m disappointed too

Joe said we are in the middle of a Trump era like Clinton, Obama, and Bush. He seemed totally normal.

I think the realization that their ability to push agenda is over.
