Turtle has announced he's stepping down so who gets the job? Cruz, Kennedy, or who?

IMO. The more we flip the greater the chance of a true conservative republican not another GOPe republican.

It should either be Mike Lee, Ted Cruz, or Rand Paul. Screw seniority. Get someone in there who will get shite done.

The only right answer would be Rand Paul. Since it is the only right answer, it won't happen.

For the simple fact they just got a new 6 yr. term- either Cruz or Scott.

The last thing you want is for the new Maj. Leader to be Eric Cantor'd during Trump's term.

1-A: Rick Scott won with the same 13% margin Trump did in FL. And he's full on America First. There's power in those numbers in dealing with the defectors and RINOs. He should be top of the list. And he was a Gov. that turned FL red (sorry DeSantos bros, he just finished the job for Scott) for good. That's THE resume highlight.

1-B: Cruz doesn't always vote MAGA, but he doesn't do it with RINOs; he does it logically to represent Texans. I respect that. He ran a good campaign against Trump in 2016 and Trump respects him for that. He played to win just like Trump did and Trump sees that. This is a guy that understands the law (making laws is their primary function) and is a better orator than Scott. He's a solid choice.

2: Rubio. There's a couple out there that will face elections during or at the end of Trump's term- Rubio among them. Rubio is just solid as hell. Is safe in his state (with Scott). Knows how to work the blackmail schemes. Knows how to work the committees to keep the GOPe in line.

It needs to happen very soon. They need to confer with Trump this weekend in Mar-a-Lago, decide, and Turtle step down as soon as they decide. They have a joint session of congress coming up where PA and MI will not certify. Before that NYS is going to be trying to put Trump in Rikers. The fight isn't over and without a MAGA Senate fighting just as dirty Trump is handicapped.

No way. He's tried to erase his backstabbing of the tea party voters who put him there, but he's untrustworthy.

Cornyn or Thune.

They both suck arse.

Rick Scott is mounting a challenge but he’s an outside shot.

I wondered if Trump was thinking AG for Cruz.

But then he just now won reelection in a very expensive campaign.

So I guess not.

yes, 11%. But yet, a very expensive campaign (without much help from Turtle for Cruz).

Seems kinda a waste for both all that money and 6 years of a solid senator to turn around an appoint him to a position in 3 mos. is all I'm saying.
