Looking for a week long family trip destination recommendations with a max driving distance of 12 hours from Baton Rouge. Ages are from 6-65. We have already been to Disney, Smokey Mountains and St Louis. Not looking for a beach. No other requirements just looking to make a list of fun places to go with a good many things to do.

Branson or the Ozarks in general. It's worth a visit at least once. If you do go, be sure and go to the Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO

Chattanooga has some fun stuff for all ages. Could also go white water rafting nearby

Blue Ridge Mountains. We went to Blue Ridge GA for the first time this summer and are taking our kids back at Thanksgiving. Fantastic area!

Yall go visit Charleston and the surrounding area. Great city and lots of interesting stuff nearby. I think it’s right at a 12 hour drive.

East coast drive. St. Augustine and North to Charleston. *Savannah, Tyree, Jekyll Island, St. Simons, etc…

Or St Augustine South to NASA. More to do North though.

Arkansas. Bentonville has the Crystal Bridges Museum, lots of trails for biking/hiking, good restaurants, and is a decent home base to venture out to places like Eureka Springs, Jasper/Buffalo River, or Fayetteville. Could also split it up and spend some time in the Hot Springs area or at any of the many state parks.

How in the world is San Antonio getting five downvotes? It's great for a family vacation. Someone please explain the hate to me.

Not doing that with a 6 year old. I think minimum age is 12.

Agree, I’ve been several times with my family and had an absolute blast every time.

Tons of shite to see and do.

Definitely a great option. Took my family there several times and everyone enjoyed it.
