First year HC Mike Collins(LSU 2003-2004) has the Neville Tigers undefeated. Hope those LSU recruiters are paying attention to the NELA athletes.

OCS undefeated, Franklin Parish 8-1, dont forget about Ruston.

I'm sure if LSU neglects this area, other SEC schools will swoop in and form bonds with these HS coaches and players.

Guy is a hell of a football coach. The Collins family is royalty in Monroe. People forget he was named head coach at NLU but resigned because of suspicion of dwi.

Good for Neville. I have no idea who that guy was at LSU.

North Louisiana always has a bunch of really good high school football teams that produce some great talent that comes to LSU.

Yes that’s Pat’s son. Has coach forever in college. Resigned in 19, I think, for some health reasons. Became dc at Neville a few years ago.

We have players who are committed, have committed in recent years, and that we are currently pursuing in that area. What makes you think we are neglecting that area?

I agree, other than the couple of years where bama came into Ouachita parish and grabbed the 3-4 players, lsu has gotten everyone they’ve wanted. Yes I may have missed the occasional player, but LSU recruits Monroe and Ruston like no one else

No they don’t. Kids from Monroe go to LSU because they grew up wanting to go there. 3 of the top 10 LA recruits are from Monroe next year. We will see how much time BK spends up here.

Just looked back and only 1 player ranked in the top 10 in the past 5 years from ouachita and Lincoln parish area didn’t go to lsu. That was Hargrove from Ruston. And yes, Neville has two that will be ranked in the top 10 but they are 3 stars. The big kid from ouachita is definitely being recruited. Honestly, this area hasn’t really produced that many players the past 5 years other than Campbell and Heard. But that being said, Neville really looks good this year

They got fat and lazy with all their success. When was the last time WM had a player come to LSU outside of a horrible punter? The biggest booster club in America is probably smaller and they stayed with Coach Arledge too long. They really screwed up hiring this Davis guy over Mike Collins who wanted the job. WM has the best facilities in Louisiana and a great feeder program. The administration has to do a national search for a coach because this one isn't gonna work. Damn even West Ouachita is winning.

Shows retired. Obviously he made big difference. WM is still good. They're just not head and shoulders above the rest anymore. That's the toughest district in the state, and it ain't close.

Biggest reason is the principal Dan Lane. He should have done a national search to replace Arledge but went with the easy pick once they fired Todd Garvin for working the kids too hard!

Their head coach Davis, is old and is riding it out to retirement. Their OC Goins, is terrible and they just don’t have the players coming up through the middle schools like they used to.

when shows passed a lot of that staff that was with him in the beginning retired as well like Casey sanders (Luke sanders dad) who was one of the top strength coaches in the south.
