Saints are tanking but for who?

This is only the first year of tank

2025 and 2026 still have to happen and the Saints won’t be good those years either

We are currently tanking for the best available player when it’s our turn to pick or trading back for more picks if Loomis gets hit by a bus or retires or something equally unlikely

We could draft number 1 for the next 20 years and it won’t matter with Loomis picking busts and Dennis Allen coaching them.

They are not tanking. They just can't play.

At this point, as bad as the Saints are, I just don’t see how they’ll get the top 2 picks for Cam Ward. I hate pretty much the rest of this QB class. So I’d rather just see them acquire talent. I don’t care if it’s Mason Graham, Travis Hunter, Nic Scourton, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Will Johnson, Banks, etc. They need talent at every position. Every. Single. One.


So I wouldn’t be mad at any of the above players. In fact, I’d say it’s a failure if you don’t get one of those guys above

Assume Ratt /Haener don’t show anything special and we suck again next year.
Hope incoming QBs are way better than this year.

Umm, we’ve already done this. High first round picks on two tackles, another first round pick at guard. A high second round pick at center.

We’ve spent more draft capital on oline than any team in the nfl. We need a LG. But you don’t waste a top 5 or ten pick on a guard. That’s idiotic, you can get one in the 2nd or third.

Of course this board downvotes something that is 110 percent true. Etienne will be the one moved if anything. They have him for a 5th year option next year but aren’t going to pay after that. I consume almost as much jags media as saints and Etienne is the most likely player on that roster to get moved along with Cam Robinson.
