1. Offense - The playcalling is horrid.

How many times did you watch this:
1st down-incomplete deep ball
2nd down-run into the middle of the line for no gain
3rd down- let’s see if we can pull something out of our arse.

You have to be more balanced. You have to try establish the run. You can’t tell me this offensive line that is loaded with supposedly first day NFL draft picks can’t run block. You have to change the scheme or something. If you throw it 50 times a game, an inaccurate QB like Nuss, who still throws off his back foot, is going to run into a couple interceptions. It’s the law of averages.

2. Defense- I give Baker a lot of credit. This defense looks light years better than last year. But the second half was alarming. I get the first drive..you didn’t expect that QB, etc. But by the second drive, third drive, fourth drive, you are telling me he can’t make an adjustment? Scary with Milroe coming to town.

3. Special Teams- Fire everyone associated with it. Kelly should be ashamed to put that on the field. And the punter should be on the bench. No tellling how many yards he costs LSU.

With coaches no longer limited, I would hope LSU hires an expert here going forward.

It’s insane. A running qb or at least a qb willing to run would help on the pulling things out of your arse but godamn have we ever heard of maybe a quick slant. Seems like for huge stretches of the game everything is a lower percentage throw down the sidelines 15 yards down the field.

Did you want us to run it 15 more times than we did for 5 more yards?

I can’t emphasize the special teams coordinator enough. WTF has that loser done well? NOTHING!!!! Fact check that millennials.

Baker will be fine.

This all comes back to Kelly.
He is not prepared and doesn’t have the team prepared.

UNACCEPTABLE

LSU doesn’t have a ST coach

The fact that yall don’t know that is why I can’t take this board serious

He's STC in name only

Where is he during games? Right next to Sloan in the box coaching/calling offense.

I've never seen a STC not on the field

We need a dedicated ST coach, not one that throws a sack of footballs to Ramos and crew and tells them see you in a couple of hours while he goes to coach TE’s.

The problem with ST is Kelly shouldn’t have kicked those field goals to begin with. You get paid that much money you should know basic probabilities, what is the probability of making missing those field goals from that yardage vs risk reward of being successful vs going for it on fourth. It seems pretty obvious to me those should have been 4th down passes instead of field goal attempts.

Our tackles are first day draft picks. Our interior guys are late round or UDFA. They aren't that good.

Dumb comment. Yea, let's not try to establish the run. Lol.

This board is pretty bad.

Ok, 20 plus times and you get 25 yards.....then what? What killed LSU was the fact that they put Nussmeier on the move. He's a pro style pocket passing QB....he's oK scrambling but if you force him to scramble and roll put and it's not designed....it starts to be a big problem.

Defensively......Marcel Reed was not schemed for and Elko knew it and the defense was keying on the RB, Klein noticed that.....and the right side was suspect. I think if Nussmeier is not giving Reed so short a field, he's not nearly as effective

Or, does Nuss have limitations in the pass game and that is why obvious plays are not run? (think poor decisions that lead to TO)

Regardless of playcalling if you throw three interceptions within the 30 yard line and missed three field goals that’s gonna make even great playcalling tough to win a game.

We have to be more balanced on offense. We can't give up on running the ball. The scheme is terrible and predictable. Coaches have to figure it out and the players have to execute better.

Poor coaching didn’t miss three FGs and throw three interceptions. We have a one dimensional offense that can pass, but can’t run. We have a QB who isn’t very mobile and can’t run.
