Gulf Stream on verge of collapse as world faces 'catastrophic' cooling for centuries
Acrucial weather system that transports warm water through the Atlantic Ocean, forming the Gulf Stream, is teetering on the edge of collapse, threatening "catastrophic" global cooling for centuries, according to some scientists.
Over 40 leading climate scientists have written an open letter warning that a key ocean circulation process in the Atlantic could be on the verge of failure, endangering the Gulf Stream and other processes that keep Europe warmer.
The Gulf Stream is a warm Atlantic current that follows the eastern coast of the US and Canada before crossing the ocean towards Europe, ensuring the west of the Continent is warmer than it would otherwise be. In a scenario reminiscent of the 2004 natural disaster film The Day After Tomorrow, the 44 scientists warn that the disaster would stem from the potential collapse of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC).

In today’s version of “let’s throw shite at the wall…..”
I swear not one of these idiots is without a pet theory they’re going to sling at the wall in the hope of being noticed to get a grant to fund their “research”

Lots and lots of "ifs" and conjecture. That is a lame article.

This is why they changed the name to Climate Change.
They can still extort and give themselves trillions of taxpayer dollars in the name of the same hoax.
Seriously, you have to be a special kind of f*cking retarded if you didn’t take a step back when they actually changed the fricking name from Global Warming to Climate Change and say to yourself, “Wait a fricking second now...."
Now, it doesn’t matter what the weather phenomenon is, it can all be blamed on their fricking hoax. Isn't that the fricking definition of a hoax?

I believe that many experts attribute the same disruption of the gulf stream the reason for the Younger Dryas.

Can’t you order a replacement Gulf Stream from Amazon?

According to historical geology the earth’s climate has been changing since it;s origin 4 billion years ago.

If we are to BeLiEvE tHe sCiEnCe, then we understand that there have been 3-5 major ice ages across the lifetime of our planet.
I'm still waiting for the first climate change anxiety sufferer to explain how that is possible in any fashion without alternating cycles of global warming and cooling.
Additionally, I'd love an explanation of how the previous warming/cooling cycles were accomplished without manmade intervention due to industrialization, like they currently screech incoherently about on the regular.
While I'm waiting, I'm still looking for that specific amount in additional taxes they want us to pay the government of 4% of the world's population so the star 93 million miles away will burn cooler.

I been warning forever that we are NOT out of the previous Ice Age yet. Whole lot of warming still in our future - people or not

This was the scenario for the movie day after tomorrow. Only, it’s not going to result in New York City turning into a glacier overnight.

This is why man will not win against Mother Nature. Humans have had an impact on the climate, as do all the living things on the planet. Is that impact meaningful enough to the climate, probably not.
8 billion people's impact to climate, can be out done by a single volcano.
We are just passengers on this planet, and do not control it in any way.

So clearly the climate is changing.
News flash, it always has - gradual warming and gradual cooling. It happens, man’s influence over it is almost zero.
The important message should have always been - be good stewards of our environment - don’t pollute.

My position has always been this: It is the definition of hubris to believe that short of detonating every single nuke on the planet at once, human activity can permanently impact the planet.

Well according to the hundreds of thousands of years of historical studies I used to be aware of prior to the climate crazies taking over the bullhorn….this would oddly sound like Earth….being Earth.

For the sake of argument, let’s say this prediction comes true. I don’t believe they ever tell us the actual scientific cause of this. And the reason is because they don’t know the cause.

Man-made climate change caused global warming and that resulted in a potentially deteriorating shift of weather formation paradigms that has the potential of producing a global cooling pattern. You know, just like man-made climate change caused unprecedented high levels of greenhouse gases during the Mesozoic Era and had the opposite effect 12,500 years ago during North America's most recent ice age.
