In re-watching the game, especially just towards the end of the 4th quarter, you can look at the ole miss players on the field and their body language shows they know they're about to lose.

As soon as nuss threw that TD you can tell the miss team know they were not winning this game. No way in hell they were winning in OT with how deafening the crowd was and we had all the momentum

Yep, I thought the same thing. They were struggling to protect Dart and our offense was clicking. Hats off to BK, Sloan, and Hankton for going for the kill shot on the first play of OT while we had the momentum.

LSU plays so well in the second half. Their game plan was to get out in front. When we were hanging around at home. and Boosie came on they new it was over. The student section was on fire.

I thought it was important to end the game in the 1st OT and not get into a multi OT/back and forth scoring with the 2-pt conversion rule. Don’t leave anything to chance, go for the kill now.

Hell they went for the kill shot many times during the game. LOL. Maybe too many times but that is what a gunslinger does and Nuss answered the call. The thing that stands out to me is even after struggling for 3 qtrs Nuss never lost faith in himself and his teammates, That self belief is what allowed him to come back and win that game. Will only make him a better stronger leader moving forward,

Agreed and it also shows how much this team has matured since the USC game. I remember Kelly banging his hand on the table begging the team to show some killer instinct and when they had a chance to end the game they didn’t play wit their food.

This is what you should expect when you fill your roster with portal mercenaries

I know they had several new players and coaches this year, but for Lane and many of the coaches and players a blown 17-3 lead in 2022 and this 17-7 lead will do that to you.

It is always fun to watch premature celebration Lane lose another one.

Nuss had one play where their coverage led to a giant wide open lane that was don a third down ( I think) and he chunked it deep to the end zone with three cover guys. He has to run there.s If that issue can be fixed then our chances of winning go up significantly. There were other plays on (zone reads) that he had mulitple options beside throwing down field that had way better chance of being successful. This is hard to see especially since we don't have the receivers who can climb the ladder and go get the ball like we have had in the past.

Their body language in the postgame press conferences was really bad. That said, Dart’s impression of Eminem was spot on…

Once Mason Taylor started making those plays in the end, I knew LSU were going to win. You could feel it in the stadium. The fans absolutely melted Ole Miss's will.

Not to change the subject, but this is another thing that made Saban so great. A Saban Alabama team (most times) could handle that type of atmosphere. Ole Miss (including their coach) were too mentally weak. They completely folded to the will of the crowd and the LSU players who were feeding off that energy.

They went HEAVY transfer portal and you're gonna get some of that. Those guys are mercenaries out for themselves and the guys they bumped from their spots ain't too happy either, things get tough they maybe aren't going to stay together.

Agreed. They also looked tired, while LSU had juice left.
