At this point why not disband them Day 1? If they can’t protect him they surely can’t protect other previous presidents either. Save the money and roll with private security

That’s absurd. USSS are a bunch of great dudes. Of course they can handle it. It will come out that this was Trump’s choice, and not, “oh no we can’t protect you”. That’s just dumb.

How is this acceptable to have a federal agency that is tasked with protecting the president and it’s unable to do it. It should be pretty simple to protect him on a golf course. You have the perimeter scouted and have people roving the perimeter, as well as guys stationed along it with site lines that over lap. You clear out 2 tee times ahead of him and behind him so he has like a 4 hole buffer.
This shouldn’t be hard to do.

I don’t get why they can’t protect him. Just sweep the entire course an hour or so before Trump arrives and then set a perimeter and patrol it

Exactly and Trump isn’t playing at the local public muni course that has fairways that are narrow and overlap each other.
