Advice Needed - Getting an old dog to get up into the back of SUV / Truck

My 65 lb lab is getting up there in age and is losing confidence in her ability to jump up into the back of my SUV. I can pick her up and put her in there no problem, but my elderly mom (also has an SUV) takes care of her sometimes and that is a bit much for her to lift.
Is there some contraption that maybe folds up and fits into the back of a SUV that can be used to let your dog walk up into the back?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Look for a dog ramp on Amazon.

You can get a harness that helps lift the back hips.

Get a foldable ramp. I got one for my old boy (15 years old) and it worked for him.

I have an older dog (12) that's always been a jumper but now will walk up to the bed and whine until I pick him up.
I bought a ramp which he wouldn't use but then bought some steps he uses.
I've heard people say their dog prefers one or the other

That works! Whatever the dog will use.

I have a neighbor do the same, then the dog slipped on the steps a couple of times, and lost confidence, so I found a roll of old astroturf, and we stapled it to the steps.

They have foldable ramps. Also you could try weight loss, Librela (canine injection for arthritis), supplements, acupuncture, laser therapy, etc.

The dog ramps are annoying but they work. We used one for several years for our older golden. They get the hang of it.

We know a professional GSD trainer who uses ramps even for young healthy dogs. Lessens wear and tear on the joints.

Plenty ramps to be found on amazon. I've taught mine to place her paws up on the seat and I lift her the rest of the way. On exit, she steps or leaps into my arms. Ten year old, 65lb german shepherd.

I picked my buddy up until his last day when his lift was upon vet table and our final good bye. I have back issues but my pain was forgotten in those moments. Love your buddy, buy him a ramp spend quality time with him. He has earned it

When your mom jumps up into the back of the truck, your dog will too.
