Anyone ever misgender someone?

I was at a job site a couple years ago and needed to go ask a he/him female a question and came back and said “She said… I mean he said… ” in front of at least 5 people. I felt guilty for like a week. This person had zero masculine attributes. Eventually over time I didn’t give a shite but would never want to misgender someone again

I've accidentally called Rummel a man before.

No.
If it wasn't for the internet I wouldn't know that trannies actually existed.

I called a deep voiced lady sir when talking to her on the phone. If she noticed she didn't react.

No but overheard the UPS man mispregnancy our receptionist (who was heavy)…….”when are you due?”
“I’m not pregnant.”
Ouch!

I would rather misgener someone that mispregnancy someone.
I would not feel bad about the misgender

Did it several times when I worked at CFA in college. Some people didn’t care, but you can tell that the dike looking women get misgendered a lot, and the look on their faces when you misgender them is honestly scary.

I thought Rick Astley was black until I finally saw the "Never gonna give you up" meme.
Does that count?

I was at a steakhouse with some friends (all of us were pretty drunk) and we had a MtF waiter.
Me and another guy accidentally (truly) misgendered 3 or 4 times.

Last week had to get a box fan at dollar general. Wasn't really paying attention to clerk, was on top shelf, clerk brought the ladder. I held the ladder because that's what you do. Clerk said thank you, I saw pony tail and said "no problem darlin it's the safe thing."
Then at the counter I look up and it's a dude. And not a dude with a ponytail like you'd think. A dude with makeup pretending to be a...well I guess he was.
I just paid and left. Kind of annoyed I'd been fooled even for a bit in passing.

Decades ago, before "misgendering" was even a thing, I had a stoner friend with real long hair. One day he answered the front door and I guess the UPS man thought he was an ugly woman. Said "you need to sign here ma'am". I don't think my friend gave a frick. He just laughed.

If I misgender someone, it's because they look like what they're pretending to be. Which means I wouldn't know if i misgendered them or not.
For instance. To misgender a man dressed as a woman, you have to call him a woman.

I did when I worked at a fast food restaurant 25+ years ago. Said yes maam think it’s a woman. Then he says, “ are you serious?” I apologized but i don’t think he was satisfied.

I like this. In Louisiana, they're concentrated in the French Quarter, otherwise where are they?
