McMahon may prove to be a solid hire.

He is looking good on the recruiting trail and this program seems to be trending up. I like this roster’s chances to make the tourney.

Last year's team was much better than year 1 despite the record being marginally better.
Year 3 is make or break, but I'm still not super confident in him. It does seem that he recruited his arse off and if he starts getting results on the court we may have a good one.

Lol. Y’all say this every year and when the season starts and the reality sets in that they suck again y’all say he just doesn’t have the talent yet

Same doesn't apply to Kelly I guess

The situations are not similar. Kelly won the hardest division in CFB in his first year as our coach and has a top 3 recruiting class coming in next year. McMahon finished last in the league in his first year and got bounced by a mid Major that we had already beaten in the NIT this past year. McMahon has recruited very well though so it needs to translate on the court this year.

Both programs were inherited in shambles. Your boy O wrecked the football team, the way we fired Wade wrecked the basketball team. The reason football is getting a soft pass is because it’s very clear the defensive personnel hires were a fumble but they appear to be corrected.

If by solid you mean around .500 in conference play on an annual basis then yeah, probably so.

Had 39 scholarship players when he came in.
Won 10 games and a SEC West Title year 1.
Won 10 games and had a heisman winner year two.
Also given a $100 million contract and has us ranked #13 at 4-1.

I hope you’re right.
Bookmarked for April.

Been telling yall that he needed a little time. He went from NOTHING to having to rebuild a roster with his type of players. That takes time.

I’m not saying he won’t win, but frick the been telling you bullshite when he has an 11-25 SEC record in 2 seasons.

2-16 year 1 & 9-9 year 2, but let’s throw out 11-25 like he isn’t improving. Expecting 20 wins in year 3

We were projected to go 9-9 in year 1 and were fricking terrible. That was with KJ too.
I’m hopeful and going in optimistic this season, but I don’t need drive-by basketball fans to blow sunshine. If we’re not doing well, most frickwads are gone by mid Jan, early Feb.

That's my hope. I still have concerns but hope they are all unfounded.

So you’re still mad about year 1? Did they meet expectations in year 2?

Why do yall do this to yourselves??

You sound like you have unrealistic expectations for this team. Maybe you just want to see McMahon fail. Seems like a lot of LSU basketball “fans” do

It shouldn't apply to Kelly. LSU football (and baseball) have different expectations than basketball and we should expect a faster improvement based on historical success, resources and reputation.
