Walz is getting destroyed at this point. I thought Vance had a slight advantage before the “I misspoke” and the “well, whadya gonna do?” stare that seemed to last for 5 minutes… after which, Vance just ran away with the damn thing.

He also said his son witnessed a shooting and JD got him to double down on it. I've found no mention of this previously.

I’ll be fair to him that it was a flub that he became friends with victims of school shooters, but that’s not a good flub.
