50/50 game. If Ole Miss can lose at home to Kentucky, we have a shot.

Seems like we have better than 50/50 chance…

That Ole Miss OL looked weak. You just can’t overrun Dart with your pressure.

Curious to see how they look this weekend. That'll show us if last week was a fluke or if they are A&M 2.0.

Aside from the game being in Tiger Stadium, LSU has the advantage of coming off a bye week. Ole Miss will be coming off a road game against another team (South Carolina) who is coming off a bye. After coasting through an awful first 4 games, Ole Miss struggled against a physical Kentucky team and will now have to play a pretty physical South Carolina team.

The LSU team SHOULD feel their best physically going into next week's game as they have since the USC game. They will also have a week to self-scout and try to implement adjustments to address some of the weaknesses. LSU is catching Ole Miss in a good favorable spot.

Their line looked weak, our pass rush has been a strength. So you worry about the defending the play calling to counter those facts. Getting the ball out quick on slants and drags or to the running back where the linebackers have to defend laterally and the safeties have to crash down to help. Those are the types of plays I worry about defending.

Those USCE DEs will generate pressure on Dart for sure. Just can’t overrun him and let him escape or dump it to receivers in the flat.

That’s unfortunately an old line. That was preseason and the -6.5 OM spread in your link was after USC loss but before they lost to Kentucky.

No clue if there’s an actual current line. I bet it’ll be a pick ‘em

They lost to an awful Kentucky offense. Ole Miss is beatable.

OM is a 9.5 favorite against USC. I am shocked by that. I looked, and Sellers is questionable for the game, so that may be some of it. SC is coming off a bye and has a blueprint to attack the OM offense, and the DL to do it.

I guess we will see.

That UK defense had been salty the past 2 weeks. They generate a lot of pressure up the middle especially with that DT Walker who will be a top 10 pick. And their LBs are versatile.

I truly don’t get how they could be a 6.5 point favorite over us in Tiger Stadium at night

Don't tell the NegaTigers! They are hoping we lose.

I agree - Kentucky has a very good defense. South Carolina's is good to, but I don't think it's as good as Kentucky's.

As I've said in some other threads, they do themselves no favors with the joke of an early schedule they have had the last 3 years. That does not help prepare a team for SEC play.

The South Carolina game will tell us for sure whether or not Ole Miss was unprepared or just overrated. I think probably a bit of both.

Right, OM will have to contend with SC's defense (which is pretty good - similar to UK's) and will have Dart running and making quick releases. His O-line looked pretty bad against UK.

No that’s what it opened up in the summer. I saw Ole Miss -6.5 going into last week. Will probably open somewhere in between.

I see Draco already pointed this out.

Kentucky physically whipped Ole Miss's o-line and the Ole Miss receivers weren't really getting a lot of separation from the Kentucky DB's.

Now I don't expect the latter to be something we can expect, but the former....I think we might make some hay there.

I like our chances , particularly at night.

Plus, Lane can likely frick up more than our coach can.
