Great finish to the season. Mets win, Dbacks win, Royals win. Everyone did everything they needed to do to make it go into tomorrow. Doubleheader to decide playoffs
1. If the Braves win 1 of 2 then then the Brewers play the Mets
2. If the Braves win both then the Brewers play the Dbacks
3. If the Mets win both then the Brewers play the Dbacks

Mets would be so much more fun than braves

if braves and mets split, then i assume they play another 1 game playoff to play arizona for the last spot?

I don’t think that’s how it works

Its Mets win one they go to Milwaukee, if the Mets win two they go to San Diego...if they win zero they go home.

No more 1 game playoffs. It’s all tie-breakers.

There’s no way the dbacks get in right? Whomever wins puts their extra pitcher allowed for doubleheaders in for a complete game in #2

Go Mets x2. Wanna see the melt if the Barves choke.

Will be tank-o-rama by the Game 1 winner in Game 2.

So basically the Mets and Braves need to each win one to get in.
If one team loses both, they are out and DBacks are in.
If the Braves win game 1 they have no incentive to try in game 2.
But if the Mets win game 1, they may try in game 2 to get the 5 seed instead of 6 seed.

Correct
But Braves incentive would be to screw my Mets

I am looking forward to it
this season has been so unexpected from the mets that any additional positive outcomes are just gravy for me

If you’ve paid ANY attention to Braves threads this year, you know we have ZERO expectations and wouldn’t be surprised at all if we lost both.
Watching Frank the Tank, on the other hand, is pure entertainment.
