They would look better if they matched the jerseys. They don't though as the striping is different.

I never noticed the different piping until someone brought it up and now I can never unsee it. Not a fan of this combo.

yep. and it's the same way when we wear all white, or really even the white/purple/white

it's the same way on the gold pants. The piping does not match and hasn't since the early 90s

To be fair, vertical shoulder striping is called “UCLA stripes”
