Paging OBTUSE - Rolex service locally?

I have a 5513 that needs to be serviced. Needs a stem, movement cleaned and regulated and needs a crystal.
Is there someplace local that is competent? I loathe mailing my watches. NOLA, Northshore, Baton Rouge?
Also, what is the "correct" crystal for a 1980 5513? Last time it was worked on the AD service guy said he couldn't get correct crystals due to a shortage and installed a high domed crystal. It has bothered me ever since as it looks all wrong from the side. I think I remember the watch having a synthetic / acrylic crystal when I got it? Would that be right?

Get ready for a bunch of responses from non-Rolex owners

When I need mine serviced, I'll probably use rolliworks. I haven't heard of anyone local I'd trust.

Ship it to Dallas Rolex Service Center

You have to use a Rolex certified dealer to get the parts. XYZ repair shop can’t do it and if they tell you they can then they are going to put non Rolex parts on your watch and screw you. Lee Michaels has done really good work on a couple of mine over the years.

I'm pretty sure Aucoin Hart has a watchmaker on staff that can do repairs locally. They replaced the crystal on my wife's 1601

Do local people actually service them locally ? I thought that they get sent off to Rolex over in Switzerland.
I’ve had a GMT master II for 15 years and had it serviced twice, both times it was sent off. But I took it to an actual Rolex boutique store here in Houston.

As others have said, just make sure you take it to an authorized Rolex dealer

Very cool watch. No date is slick AF.

Diamond Distributors in BR
Small local owned business. The turnaround may not be the quickest but they provide excellent service

All but guarantees it is not a cool watch.

My dad took his Explorer II to Clark's in Shreveport for service. The power reserve was way less than it should have. They sent it to the Rolex service center, I assume in Dallas. That was late July and it's still not back.

I know Lee Michael's in BTR is a Rolex Authorized Service center but have never used them. Probably will soon as I bought mine from them and probably need to get it serviced soon.

Gross materialism. I use a sun dial because I’m a far better human being than you.
Also I am a Druid.

Hyme Tyme in old Metaire. Ask for Hyme...he's an old family friend of mine and was able to service my grandfathers Rolex after he passed and it was passed to me.

No. I don't like mailing it. Afraid it will end up "lost" and this has sentimental value. I can't replace it. Hell, for that matter, I wouldn't be able to buy a similar model these days.
