At the same time, content creators who try to hold on too tightly to every detail of the game’s storyline will also struggle to make something that delivers as a TV show. At heart, the two are different things, Druckmann emphasized in an interview with Variety for the latest episode of podcast “Strictly Business.”
Another mistake adaptations make, Druckmann observed, is “staying so close to the source material that is built and designed and written for this other medium that has strengths and weaknesses, and trying to translate it as is, with no changes to this other medium that has different strengths and weaknesses.”

i never played Part II. i have it, just haven't worked my way to playing it, yet. did any of that in the trailer resemble anything from the game?

There are absolutely some parts that look like straight from the game while also looks like they’re mixing some stuff up particularly more with Jeffery Wright’s character. Won’t say much else but just play the game if you liked the first part and decide for yourself how you like the game.

Great trailer.
Last of Us Part II wasn't nearly as good as Part I was when it comes to narrative execution and pacing, but I have a pretty strong feeling that it will work much better as a tv series.
I was pretty meh on Season 1 but I think this will be a big improvement.

Just finished my replay of part 2 on the ps5 upgraded version and am pumped for the show. The level design is superior in part 2 compared to part 1 but obviously that doesn't work the same in a tv show.
Am I the only one that hoards all their supplies, traps, ammo and then barely ever uses it so I can't pick up stuff that I come across because of inventory limits.
Maybe I should play on a harder difficulty than moderate next time

Season 1 was so up and down and fell a little flat in the end. Hopefully they learned and made corrections for this one.

We already know Part II will be split between two seasons which with the second game being much longer than the first game that’s definitely the right idea. It’ll be interesting to see where they end season 2 on but if you played the games you already have a solid idea.
Also according to some on the TLOU subreddit the first episode will be feature length
