Of my ability to put up with the god awful traffic here. I-10 West currently backed up for SEVEN MILES thru the middle of BR.
Close to being done with this town.

the new bridge will be done by 2050 assuming we survive major hurricanes or an asteroid direct hit

That ain’t too bad. Lately in Belle Chasse (I know, nobody gives a frick about plaquemines parish), what normally would take people 15-20 minutes to drive is now taking some people 2 or 3 HOURS!!! Our local government has fricked the citizens of our parish so hard. The traffic has been unbearable for over a year, and we still have 2/3 years left of this shite

Best thing I did in my last move was live close to office. I'm work from home but if I have to go in I have a 10 minute drive through quiet backroads. It's sublime

thanks for the heads up.
remember when BR was just a larger than normal college town? traffic was at times a pain but nothing like now. Katrina changed everything. i dont go out for lunch anymore, just sit at my desk.

Katrina changed everything.
My brother entered LSU in the fall of 2000, it would take us 2 HOURS to get from LSU to the Academy by Cortana
That was before Katrina, and the interstate has always been awful through BR.
Nice try

You took the interstate from LSU to Cortana?
Posted on 9/24/24 at 4:26 pm to GreenRockTiger
i lived in Santa Maria beginning in 96 and worked downtown and traveled that stretch of interstate everyday. it was nothing like this then. oh and go frick yourself, wad

How can a town with only a quarter million people have such bad traffic? It makes no sense.
Posted on 9/24/24 at 5:02 pm to RunninReb
Maybe if you didn’t leave work at 3 like some kind of middle school art teacher and stayed all day like a man you wouldn’t get stuck in traffic
Posted on 9/24/24 at 5:04 pm to Mr. Hangover
Even with the new bridge?

Work from home would solve your woes.
If not you, then for the thousands driving on that road to sit at a desk to do work they could do at home.
