All about the money. An influx of low skill, uneducated migrants means cheap labor for big business and more profits. The politicians here will talk a big game about immigration every few years, but the folks lining their pockets prefer mass migration.

My in-laws live there. And I like going there so long as I do t have to speak to anyone. My experience is that they are indeed uppity but also have a very waspy liberal affectation that I have experienced more in the north east. Thanksgiving may be interesting…

It's not just Alabama. Haitians are being dumped in South Georgia towns close to the new Hyundai plant. They're also being dumped in Bangor, ME, and several other places I'm sure we're not aware of yet.
