He has the undermanned dline playing to their max potential. They definitely haven’t been the weak link like we thought they would

He’s got em playing mean. Once we get more reliable personnel in the secondary, I think our defense will surprise a bunch of people.

He and this entire staff is poised to bring Us back to the pinnacle . Just have to endure some more bumps to get there. Nowadays bump enduring ain’t an acceptable option round here.

I think what he and Kevin peoples have done for this line is coach of the year worthy type stuff. They are worth their weight in gold. I hope we can hold on to both for quite a few years cause I see some real nasty lines in our future when the talent gets back to LSU standards.

Unless I'm wrong, Guillory should have a medical RS and be able to come back next season.

The interior tackles have held up well, especially in the second half of games. Two really good D-line coaches is indeed way better than none,….as was the case last year. Peoples has shown to be a guru with pass rushing ends.

You are correct. It's actually not even a medical redshirt, just a regular redshirt. He originally redshirted in 2020, but since that's the Covid year, it doesn't count, so he still has his redshirt year to use.

More young studs getting PT prior to Ole Miss is huge and will improve our chances of winning at home because we will need all of them.

He is also recruiting at a very high level. His impact there was felt immediately

He has made a huge impact this year and it cant be understated how bad we were last year, and how far he has had to go to coach this group up.

After Lindsey went down in camp. we played the ENTIRE 2023 season without a D-line coach. It boggles the mind this happened. It cost us at least a game (totally unprepared for Florida State), and until Davis was hired, it put us way behind in recruiting and even further behind in the portal grab as we were consistently out maneuvered for top talent on the D-line.

Whether that decision was Kelly's alone or he trusted House, bottom line, the call to try to replace that position by committee was the worst personnel decision in recent memory. It was the most frustrating part of last season, and by the far the most inexplicably stupid decision Kelly has made.

Crazy thing is personnel doesn't even appear to be last year's problem. Wish Smith would have come back for a year under Davis to see him at max potential at LSU.

DL hasn’t really been a problem so far this season.

He doesn’t even have to worry about the DEs, that’s Peoples’ area. He’s made due with what he has on the interior and gotten the most he can out of it which is the best you can hope in our situation. It looks like Suggs could be a player and Dom McKinley already is physically ready for the SEC. Same with Ahmad Breaux. Our DL in total has actually been the strength of our defense.
