Why is Trump trending so badly in the betting odds?

Because the oddsmakers know that there are ways of finding the votes for Harris.

He’s net negative 8-9% in the odds since the debate. He was leading before it. It hurt him, no doubt. We’ll see how long that lasts. The odds should tighten again.

Duh, it isn't hard, look at RCP and you will see when the real polls shows tightening a paid for poll will come out with Harris up 5 or 6

Because betting odds have nothing to do with accuracy and everything to do with the money. And in something as subjective for odds makers as a political election, the key is to be in the middle of the "emotional interest". The house makes their 10 points on all the bets so how do I get the most total bets is their philosophy.
