Saw this mentioned in the black bear thread earlier

quote:

A Pointe Coupee sheriff's deputy was conducting a traffic stop when he found something unexpected in the car — a kangaroo.

On Monday, the deputy pulled over a driver, who had an arrest warrant out for him, when he noticed the marsupial in the vehicle, according to Sheriff René Thibodeaux.

The man was arrested, while animal control was called to care for the kangaroo until the man's father could retrieve it.

Wait… what?

I almost ran over a Kangaroo on a rural road in R-Kansas a couple years ago. Damn thing was bouncing down the middle of this one lane road as I came over a hill.

After locking 'em up and coming to a stop, a damn ostrich darted across the road behind me and the kangaroo took off after him.

That was enough for me, I left and went back home later that night.

Kangaroos are solid boxers. Pretty good hands, but not the strongest chins.

Nothing wrong with chilling on False river and picking up some strange at the Landing. Not a bad life for a kangaroo.
