Green Wave vs. Cajuns

This should be a fun one over in Lafayette. Tulane is favored by 3 on most sports books. Personally I think that’s a little low considering the competition each team has played. Hard to gauge how good the Cajuns are as they blew out both crappy teams they played. Tulane blew out SLU and then hung with two top 15 teams. Haven’t been to Cajun field in years but I’ll be in town for this one. Here’s to a good game. Tulane wins by 2 td plus.

would be a big win for Desormeaux if he can pull it off

People need to go analyze the talent on both teams to see who should win
this game.If TULANE is in the right mindset it a 2-3 TD victory for the wave.

It makes sense for Tulane to schedule home and homes with USL, Tech, ULM, and I hope some day with LSU.
I still miss beating Tulane every year. If the SEC goes to a 9 game schedule which I hope they do I think a home and home where when we have 4 SEC home games we schedule home v. Tulane and I hope someday we can go back to playing in New Orleans. I would rather play Tulane at home versus Nicholls.

Not as a home and home, though.

In your head, maybe. On the site listed below composite team talent rankings have ULL at #73 & Tulane at #76. Some of the data on that site seems a little wonky to me, though.

For Comparison, LSU is #24 on that site
ETA: History would indicate Tulane probably wins, though.

Truly unbelievable what Coach Zero did to the program.
Kelly perplexes me from time to time, but he inherited a massive roster rebuild to get LSU back to having the talent to compete for NCs.

Tulane is the best team in the state. they are gonna kill us.

I don’t trust the young QB yet. He’s going to be good but he’s so inexperienced and now this is three straight tricky games in a row.

We should play Tulane. It’s on them for thinking they are above the rest of the in state schools and demanding a home and home when nobody else gets one and makes no sense for us to schedule.

It would.
Unfortunately, I think we struggle to not get beat by 16 or more. I like Dez as a person, and he could still be a good college coach in time, but he was a lazy hire and the wrong one for us when it was done. Tulane’s current head coach did really good building Troy back up, and their freshman QB is much more talented than any QB on our roster.

That site has Navy has the 13th most talented team in the country. If we are defending Midway, I could see it.
They also have Indiana and UCF ahead of all but 2 SEC teams. This is monkey football bat level of dumb.

Part of why I said I mentioned the data on the site being wonky.

Yeah I don't like our chances at all

Forget talent comparisons.
Tulane is tested and knows they can share the field with the bigger dogs. ULL isn't and doesn't.
Experience usually goes a long way against talent.
