Hahahaha

And the hospitals are still full from yesterday, so this second round of injured fighters won’t get treatment!!!

Kind of makes carrying a cell phone everywhere seem dangerous. I hope this isn't the new thing.

I love how the media is trying to spin this into something bad. ABC this morning made sure to say "reports from Hezbollah of possible children hurt".

There couldn't be a more surgical, large scale attack possible. The terrorists have devices in their pockets that are blowing up and the media is still mad.

I think they got into the supply chain. Lithium ion batters in phones have blown up plenty before, but they just pop then catch on fire. They don't blow people in half like an IED.

Serious question so I understand, the technology is now available to remotely make walkie talkies blow up?

Oh, children were hurt, with at least one killed. She was ten and died while standing next to a man whose pager went off and exploded. That man was a known Hezbollah terrorist and her father.

Sounds like it's his fault.

My favorite part of the fruit guy video is how the other people mill around and look over like "checks out" in response to a literal bomb going off.

It is most likely that they infiltrated the supply chain, got possesion of shipments, and modified the pagers and whatever else with explosive charges that could be detonated remotely with the heat from the batteries as the ignition source. That's what has been reported, anyway.

No. Israel intercepted the shipments and added explosive to the devices before they were eventually delivered to the end users.

This idea isn't new. Look up the explosive ak47 magazines from Vietnam that are still making the rounds today

Top 5 modern military operation of all time in my book. The biggest strength of Hezbollah and the biggest difficulty for Israel is that they are just "normal people" living amongst non-active Hezbollah members. Tough to attack, but they found a way to do it with hyper surgical precision and that is seriously fricking impressive.

And the ones who don't die will now be identified. That's the part that people aren't talking about. Mossad will have names of all the people going to these hospitals with injuries from this and will have a list of thousands of confirmed Hezbollah.

I get how you trigger a pager or phone, but how do you trigger a walkie?

That’s some old school next level stuff.

As much as people don't care for Thomas Friedman, he also noticed this not long after he arrived on assignment to Beirut. He was sitting at his desk in a shared office when a small explosion and gunfire broke out. He dove to the ground and under his desk. The others just kept working like nothing had happened. He gathered himself and asked why the hell they didn't duck. They said, "They aren't shooting at us." It is a way of life that we can't understand.
