When its your family you're talking about then you can make that decision. The issue I think with most people is not that he took the UT offer, but that it seems like he played LSU in the process. If so, it was supremely classless so let him go. But I have yet to find something definitive as to what exactly happened.

Since "O" has left usc they have not fallen off in talent, in-fact they may have gotten better in defense. while at ole miss, he didnt take any great players from lsu, and while at the saints, the defensive line showed no improvement( may have gotten worse). so, i say not hiring him is a true blessing....WE DONT NEED SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT WANT TO BE HERE!!!...and it would have caused conflicts in the defense.

I suppose we will never really know the REAL story on Coach O. I for one, smell a rat. Over the last month, we hear how much his family loves being back in La., & making it sound like he is either staying for more $ with the Saints, or he is going to LSU. However, for years, there has been rumours of his anger for LSU, stemming back to the days when he signed, then left campus before ever playing there. I just wonder if he ever had any intention of coaching at LSU, or he was blowing smoke & wanted to spit in Miles' eye...Given his history, I would not be surprised by O doing this, but if anywhere near the truth, he is dirt in Louisiana.
