Does anyone care about a bowl projection
It’s playoffs or bust
Most will opt out of a bowl game

That would certainly be very underwhelming when considering this team is supposed to be a playoff contender with a favorable schedule.

Everyone keeps saying bk is "10 wins" but its really 9 wins and a cheeze-it bowl

I can’t think of anything more worthless or uninteresting than week 3 bowl projections

The CBK effect

He is doing what Paul Mainieri did to LSU baseball

Slowly lowering the fan expectations

Minus the natty of course.

Ole Miss and Missouri projected in the playoff. LSU projected to the Trans Bowl.

We getting Jimbo'd. 10 million for some Cheeze-It's.

First, this is just clickbait, since we're only 2 games into the season.

Second, outside of the playoffs, there are only 4 or 5 other bowls that are meaningful. Once you get past those, the rest are garbage. And with all the players opting out, they're even worse.

I used to love bowl season decades ago, when only 25 or 30 teams made it to a bowl. A true reward for a good season.

Now, about 2/3 of teams go to a bowl. They've been rendered meaningless, and even more so with the opt-outs.

We're two weeks into the season. The predictions are completely irrelevant as there has been exactly ONE of 128 SEC conference games played. These projections at this time aren't worth the data used to publish them other than to get reactionary fans riled up. Though I guess in that respect, as it pertains to the OP, mission accomplished.

This would be akin to getting upset about a weather forecast for Christmas Day posted today. Then again, I guess if you are looking for any reason to be angry any reason will do.

Yep. Especially considering how teams have the runway to get better throughout the season and still be playing for something meaningful late in the year. LSU seems like a team that, with all the young talent, could be a much better product in November than they are today.

Bowl projections two weeks into the season are about as valuable as pre-season polls. Lots of football left to play.

3rd year of BK and Music City/Texas Bowl is the best we could do?

Meh, not exactly. Jimbo slowly got worse and worse as time went on. Still a lot to like about the Kelly tenure. Recruiting has gotten better each year. Staff has improved each year. Special teams has gotten fixed. Offense and more specifically QB development is great. Still plenty of reason to be optimistic.

No doubt BK had some misses on his first defensive staff but the program has all the fundamentals now to take that next step in the coming years.

Nobody is super excited for non CFP bowls BUT…

Iowa State in Houston sounds completely awful. The only teams I want in the Texas bowl are Texas teams or Oklahoma State. Colorado would be an outlier but that’s a major long shot.

Nebraska in Nashville actually sounds fun. Their first bowl game in a long time. They would take over the city. Awesome opportunity to spoil their first winning season in a long time.
