He’s going to have a huge year.

Wasn’t perfect, and if I was gonna knock him on anything it’s not pushing the ball down the field enough, but I fully expect that to get better as the year goes on. Experience and getting comfortable w his guys will only help.

Overall, really liked what we saw out of him. When you have a great qb you have a great chance in every game.

He is a decent qb. Not sure if he is great yet. Great qbs dont cower at the first sign of pressure and make a bunch of 3rd down throws behind the first down marker

In my uneducated opinion they need to let him go vertical to open up the run game instead of the other way around.

Jayden Daniels did the same thing year 1.
Did he not become great?

He was good last night, but needed to be nearly perfect for LSU to win. I didn’t think he would need a perfect performance for LSU to beat SC.

If Kelly would open up his options and stop stifling him.

No, jayden made a ton of off script plays, mostly with his legs.

I cant remember one play that broke down and nuss still made a first down, but maybe im mis remembering

JD's first game with us was also his 40th game starting so Nuss does get some grace. That being said, Moss was in an identical situation as Nuss and was able to deliver. He also had a much better play caller though.

Yes I think Nuss will be fine. One thing I’d like to see him do next game is to keep the ball on a couple reads. He’s not a burner but he’s also not a statue, keep that thing and make the defense think a little.

Nuss has two guys calling plays who are position coaches and nothing more. Also a head coach who sucks and has no confidence in QBs who are not runners. Hes in a lose lose situation.

His HS scouting report noted his ability to make off schedule throws. Let him get outside the pocket or roll the pocket and give WRs a chance to uncover.

Last night looked like an attempt to make Nuss fight his gunslinger instinct. Good or bad, you have to let him be himself and tweak the bad tendencies.

had 2-3 impressive back foot incompletions, someone needs to tell him that one option, especially when we need the down, is his legs

He needs to pull the ball and run some, whether that’s in passing plays or running plays. The mere threat of him running will open up more big play opportunities.
