Looks like a NO to me, unless Freddie or Altuve just want to hang on to reach 3K

Altuve is the only one with a shot. And it’s a long shot.

Altuve will not only get 3000 hits, he will retire with the most hits by any 2B ever.

I think Freeman and Altuve could both do it if it was their priority, but even those guys sell out for slug a lot because that's how the game is played. They still have high BA's because they're studs, but their hit totals could be higher if all they wanted to do was make it to first.

I hope they do it. I'd hate to see the 3000 hit mark go the way of the 300 win pitcher.

Luis Arraez wouldve been a good candidate if he didn't take so long to get to the show.

He's within 100 hits of Soto in 1200 less ABs but he is 2 years older at 27.

I think the answer is yes, but not out of this group. I don't see any of them doing it. Harper has an outside shot if he can stay healthy and 1B is a good place to do that. Trout would have been the answer a few years ago.

Freeman would need to average 127 hits per season and play ‘til 40.

Altuve needs to average about 130 until he’s 40.

I think Tuve has the better shot based on career averages, but a bunch of those guys are being hindered by the 2020 season.

Altuve only had 30 some odd hits that year, though I think he may have been injured some.

Altuve and Freeman are possible, if they stay mostly healthy.

Machado an outside chance if he plays until 40/41 and also stays mostly healthy.

After that we're looking at young guys like Juan Soto (908) or Vlad Jr. (870) both at age 25... but who the frick knows how their careers will go? It's tough to play long enough to get to 3,000.

Shocked he’s 35-yo and has been in the bigs since 2011. Time flies.

Altuve isn’t far behind on my shocked level.

Freeman has 538 hits over the last 3 seasons,

Altuve has had 426.

They are the same age. How is Altuve's chance better than Freemans lol
