LSU and USC are officially listed as co-national champions in the NCAA records. It’s 100% official.
The Coaches Poll and AP Poll are the two organizations that were allowed to crown national champions during the BCS era. The Coaches Poll was contractually required to vote for the winner of the BCS championship Game. The AP Poll was not contractually obligated to vote for the winner or the BCS Championship Game.
I’ve already explained this on here ad nauseam, but there’s too many 5-year olds on here who don’t want to hear it and who would rather just pretend that it’s not true. It’s 100% true regardless of how many of us LSU fans deny it.

Well, only 2 teams played in the National Championship game. Neither team was named USC.
