USC 30 FOR 30

Showing this morning. I find it interesting timing going into our game in Vegas. It covered their dominance, then collapse, then Pete Carrol’s success, starting in 2003 as Co-National Champions with our Tigers. I believe they view this game and this year’s team to be the restart of USC’s relevance. We had the crystal ball, and they had Pete Carroll and Keith Jackson proclaiming them NC for beating a mediocre Michigan team in the Rose Bowl. Saban had not achieved enough stature to influence the media at that time. So, in spite of the agreed protocol for the Nation Championship, they are STILL considered co-champs.
The last time I saw this happening, was the RETURN OF THE U. We squashed that, and I think we do it again.

My body is ready for the game in Vegas. This 4 day week of work is going to drag arse.

Heard that! Golfing today and working Monday through Thursday and Friday already feels like a month away. But it will be here before we blink. Can’t wait to touch down in Vegas.

Oh, I agree. Been pissed about it for years. But, the media still wants to give them credit. I remember watching the end of the Rose Bowl, and Petie proclaiming their title, and Keith Jackson agreeing on air. It made me sick. WHOA NELLIE
USC was allowed to claim back to back championships. The 3 peat was ended by Vince Young and Texas.
But, rather than issue a clarification statement that there is only one champion, the NCAA wimped out and let the Co-Champ claim stand.
It’s time for payback.

Maybe I’m missing something. Please explain. I don’t want to offend. To be clear, I am NOT agreeing with their claim of Co -Champs.

It’s probably because the 30 for 30 has nothing to do with the LSU game, and it’s just a coincidence

We don't even give them the privilege of speaking (or writing) that phrase here unless it is to specifically ridicule the concept. Regardless of what anyone else says.

I will say, for a 30 for 30 coming out of a prestigious film school, it was poorly made. It was a rah rah piece made by the school to say the games happened on the field and we all saw it. They even interviewed LenDale White and tried to discredit him after he called out Pete Caroll for bailing. Propaganda piece similar to the Florida’s documentary on Netflix (from what I heard, I refused to watch that one when I heard what they cut out).
