He actually failed twice
Modern Tennis is more doped than 90s cycling. The conditioning the modern player has is impossible
quote:
Top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner tested positive twice for an anabolic steroid in March but will not be suspended because the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) determined the banned performance-enhancer entered his system unintentionally through a massage from his physiotherapist.

Brings back memories of Richard Gasquet.

Lol, exactly what I thought. Saying you tested positive for coke because you made out with a rando at the club is the GOAT excuse.
Posted on 8/20/24 at 5:24 pm to lsupride87
That excuse didn’t even work for Bonds 20+ years ago
How’s it working now?

The CEO of the ATP tour is Italian
Posted on 8/20/24 at 5:38 pm to lsupride87
I mean sure, but that can’t be the reason he’s not suspended
Nobody would accept that. It’s too transparent.

The tour is going to be roasted over this.

Tennis has been full of doping and corruption for a very long time

I don’t think you grasp the amount of corruption in European sports leagues

Why?
I couldn’t tell you

Djokovic is clean. Never failed a test.

Wouldn't happen if his name was Saint.

It appears zero people in this thread read the story.
The reason he wasn’t suspended is because he had such tiny amounts in his system, and after an investigation was done it was determined the physio who performed massages had an ointment on his hand to help heal a wound. The banned substance in the ointment was transferred in trace amounts through skin to skin contact.
He didn’t take anything illegal. They know he didn’t take anything illegal, which is why he’s not suspended.
