I don't even know what the story is, the general dialogue was so bad I tuned most of it out.

They need to bring Anthony Burch back. He wrote 2 and did a great job.

He's the reason that GOW Ragnarok's writing was dogshit, he needs to stick to Borderlands style writing

This is in the works.
I am looking forward to Borderlands 4. I've loved all of these games. You can call BL3 woke but its still fun to play and that's all I care about.

There were lots of writers in that game. HE was the main problem?
ETA the writing was fine. Not as good as 2018, mainly because I didn't like how chummy they made Mimir, but it was still good.

The Telltale games in this universe were fun and funny. I just can't get into the mainline games. I don't know what it is but I hate the gameplay.

They're all to blame, but it's no coincidence that the tone changed so drastically with him coming on board. Not only did they not address the hundred different awesome setups that Corey left them from GOW2018 and rob it of the "epic" feel, but they added all the bullshite joss whedon style quips and characters like Ratatoskr. Odin was a joke, Atreus is spouting off shite like "well THAT just happened," Freyr sounding like a late 20s modern adult, Freya going from wanting to dish out divine vengeance to "would you just shut up and kill things?!"
Dogshit Ragnarok itself lasted like 15 minutes, 0 resolution for the mask mcguffin, Tyr reveal was absolutely pointless. They only good dialogue was the small talk and Mimir talks during boat rides and shite
They really dropped the ball with the game. Probably biggest letdown of my gaming career considering everything that was so carefully set up in 2018.

Tales From The Borderlands is GOATed. Amazing game.
Didn't play the second one because it's a different studio and everyone said it was dogshit

This is one of those titles where you play with your brain turned completely off. Enjoy the loot and the explosions. The characters and general plotline went from okay in the first two games and it took a hard pivot to cringe-land from presequel onward.
Never played the telltale games so I can't speak to them, but borderlands humor is effectively reddit humor. It confuses references and being odd with actually being funny.
