Best time to buy an AK from PSA?

I’m in the market for one and I recall seeing a few posts about deals PSA have run over the years, but I can’t find them in here when I search.
Do they tend to do an annual sale? If not, is there a better time of year (Christmas? After the new year?) to get a better price?
Thanks in advance!

They have a Blem that runs about $599-629 pretty regular.

I’ve bought several blem items from PSA and for the life of me cannot see or find any blems. They are good deals

If you’re patient you can get the one finchmeister posted for $599 w/free shipping. Maybe check around Labor Day, Black Friday, other typical sale holidays.

Jumped on a deal during their July 4th week sales- bought 2, a SBR in 300 Blackout and a 5.7 Rock. Gotta love PSA for the price. Be patient, know what you want and wait, it will come around. I had to unsubscribe from the emails they were wearing me out w/ deals.

If you can, grab a FB Beryl. They are ending importation and may not bring them in again. Arms of America and Atlantic Firearms has then for around $1500.
Pricy but a Beryl has a lot going for it including the fact that is a Nato spec AK.

Yeah, that’s the one I’m leaning towards as of now. Just wasn’t sure if they might offer an even better deal in the next few months. Black Friday or end-of-year sales and things like that.
Thanks for your input.

Great, thanks for the tip. I’ll probably wait until Black Friday and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. I looked into the Beryl but decided the PSA would be sufficient enough for my uses, and less than half the price. If I had another $1k I wanted to spend, I’d rather buy multiple guns in different calibers instead of 1 more expensive gun. I don’t shoot a ton so I don’t need something that can handle a million rounds put through it. I just like having them available when I want/need them, and having a variety of calibers to choose from if ammo becomes harder to find again.

That’s the price it will always be. That’s the thing about PSA. They slap a “SALE PRICE” sticker on everything they sell. But it was the same price a week ago during normal week. So whether it’s July 4th or July 20th, it’s going to be the same price. It might fluctuate by $20, but there’s no rhyme or reason to it.

Get a Zastava.
I have a ZPAP which has a chrome-lined barrel. Top notch rifle.

I have an N-PAP. It was something I picked up on a whim but I got some great steel mags and a Kastan 1P78 for it.

At one time I had an OPAP with beautiful surplus furniture. Don’t see many of those come available. Wish I still had it.
But now I just have my ZPAP and CPAP by my bed lol.

When is the "end of year" date for tax purposes? Meaning, when do they get taxed for whatever inventory they have in warehouses?
I used to know and watch that for ammo purposes... companies like SG Ammo and others would try to clear out what they could to avoid a big tax hit.
* I looked online, and it seems like South Carolina doesn't do that.
Oklahoma does, and that's where it affects SG Ammo.

To each their own, but the second pic is an abomination.

Yeah, agreed. I prefer the classic wood on an AK or an SKS any day.
