Anyone know of a website or artist/photographer where I could find stuff like this? I’m wanting to have a real Louisiana theme on the walls of my den.

Tony Bernard in Lafayette has some pretty cool stuff. Paintings, prints, and drawings, I don't think he does any photography. I think Tony was a protege' of George Rodrigue, he was at least heavily influenced by him. He has done a lot of festival posters as well. He has some cool LSU and Saints stuff too.

I have a nicely framed signed artist's proof by Robert Rucker of this "Blessing of the Fleet" that I would part with. Just have too much art and prints to hang or store it all. Gave my brother a nice Rucker print he has hanging in his living room.
Just saw regular prints of it on EBay for $325 to $525. Make offer.

There are many old maps you can get framed. I have one that is 56" X 28" and it shows a 1858 map of plantations on the lower Mississippi River from Natchez to New Orleans.

You can also get prints of historic newspapers that are cool to look at. I have a newspaper page from the Baton Rouge Gazette in 1836. On the left column is nothing but ads trying to recover runaway slaves.

Do not buy

Have seen this guy piss a lot of people off. He’s not from Louisiana and has no ties to LSU. He clout hops to whatever team wins the title and he advertises his digital drawings as actual paintings.

Plenty of amazing Louisiana artists like Jacob Zumo and Chuck Braud

CC Lockwood

I had the pleasure of meeting Clyde Lockwood when I was living in Baton Rouge in 1986. He had a studio around Perkins and Acadian. He grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas and is a good friend of Marty Stouffer of Wild America fame. Between Clyde's pictures and Marty's films, it was a great education regarding wildlife in Louisiana and America.

Your collection isn’t complete until you add a Rodrigue Blue Dog painting.

Ernie Roussel’s Custom Paintings on Facelbook. He does some awesome boiled crawfish on newspaper scenes and customizes the newspaper headlines with whatever you want them to read.

What's your budget? I have a cherished original scratchboard etching of a reclining tiger by award-winning artist Jeannine Nahra worth a few thousand. Since she made no prints of the one I own, there is no image of it on her facebook, but here are two different items she shows. I am away from home but if you are interested I will take a photo of it to post when I return. I would have to have a serious debate with myself before selling it, as family members have expressed an interest in it and are perhaps waiting for the reading of my will. Or if on a budget, you can buy a 20x24 print of these lesser works for $130 and pay a couple hundred to mat and frame.

I’m going for more inexpensive pieces right now since I’m trying to do the whole room and get several pieces at once. I would like to eventually get a nicer, more expensive piece once I can kind of take my time on it.
I do appreciate the offer though!

Very cool. Do you remember where you found this map or the others you mentioned?

The gift shop in Franks Restaurant in Prairieville has some cool stuff.

Similar to this. Tiger Eyes on Driftwood.
I can’t remember the artist’s name.
