The student, whose name is being withheld, was reportedly an 8th grader. According to multiple sources, the student collapsed and died during agility warmups in PE class. The PE teacher and coach immediately rushed to assist the girl.

The gym the student was in is air conditioned, sources say, and the incident is not believed to be heat related

Death of a middle school kid. Kid of morbid. Show some respect for the family.

what's wrong with what he posted?

some of us have kids there and knew there was a Code Blue at the school today, but we all were hoping for the best... so sad to hear that it didn't end up that way...

if he was glorifying it or joking about it, that's one thing, and i could agree with you... he's just doing the same thing that the news would do and that's bringing facts to light via a platform afforded to him...

not sure how you don't see it that way, but whatever

Terrible. I'm assuming undiagnosed heart defect? That's usually the cause when this happens, but it seems like it has been almost exclusively males that I've heard about over the years.

had to have been... my daughter said they are just doing agility drills, nothing strenous, not playing any sports or anything... literally just like hamstring stretches, high knees, etc... but nothing high impact

Stories like this are why I hug my kids and tell them I love them every chance I get.

Yep, my son is a 7th grader there. I’m not sure if he knows her. We just told him the news. So terrible
