LSU’s 2 oldest vets are currently free agents

Al Woods, 37 (LSU 06-09)
Patrick Peterson, 34 (LSU 08-10)

I think Tyrann Mathieu may be oldest current player at 32 (LSU 10-11)

Followed by guys like
Lael Collins (LSU 11-14)
Danielle Hunter (LSU 12-14)
Deion Jones (LSU 12-15)
Reid Ferguson (LSU 12-15)
Tredavious White (LSU 13-16)
Duke Riley (LSU 13-16)
Ethan Pocic (LSU 13-16)

Other Free Agents unsigned
Kwon Alexander
Jarvis Landry
Leonard Fournette

Time flies & it is hard to last in the NFL >10 years. Only a handful of guys left from the Les Miles era

The new era of great starting QBs/WRs is upon us luckily.
The defensive side of new young dominant NFL LSU alums is slightly lacking though I will give you that.

I never would have imaged Al woods having a longer career than his cousin, Chad woods.

Can Al Woods play right tackle because Penning for the Saints is awful

He definitely had a journeyman type of career.

I am happy for Al Woods but who would have thought that he would have been our longest tenured player?

Man, Kwon Alexander made the Saints D instantly better. He and Demario Davis seemed to have great chemistry. I really hoped he’d stick with the Saints for the last 5-6 years of his career.

One of the most remarkable careers of former Tigers I can recall. He was a complete afterthought at LSU...then goes on to have a nearly 15 year NFL career

Perry Riley had a long career in the NFL that no one on here ever seemed to talk about

True. But at least he had some degree of success at LSU.

Woods only started 16 games in 4 years! 13 of those in his Senior season. He didn't start a game at LSU until 1/2 through his junior season. I know he was a DT, but he only had 3 sacks and 8 TFLs in 4 full seasons. He did almost nothing of note at LSU...then has a 13 year NFL career!

Danielle Hunter is one of the most underrated defensive ends in the league. 87.5 sacks, 134 qb hits, 108 tfl, and 462 tackles in 8 years.

Having Patrick Peterson as a future DB coach is the dream.
