Superior Steel. Used to be off Choctaw, but I think they moved to Denham Springs.

I’ve bought galvanized tube and angle iron from Brecheen in Port Allen before. Good people.

My BIL told me last week he had some scrap square metal tubing if I wanted it.

"SURE!"

Went to get it and it was some square tubing in short chunks that came off a car chassis. Literal scrap. I took it anyway since I told him I wanted it. Serves me right for trying to get one over on him I guess.

I enjoy welding stuff from time to time. Had a buddy that is a roofing distributor and one of his contractors that buys from him needed 100 12' sticks of 4X4 square tube. He bought 100 24' sticks and had to get rid of 100 12' pieces so I bought them all for $800 and change. Think I paid somewhere around $8.25 a piece for them and they were around $70 for a 24' stick. I've built a lot of stuff out of them and still have around 40 sticks left. Got some more projects to build.
