Say we start 0-4 or 1-5 , how long does Derek Carr have before a change is made

Any other coach would change then but I think DA would ride him out even longer. When would you say he could possibly be replaced?

We go 1-5, Allen will be the change. Then hopefully Carr

Carr is not your problem. Is he great? No. But Peyton Manning would look bad with this O-Line and jackass for coach

Car won't make it to week 5 fully in-tact with this line. He does not have great pocket awareness and them having a new playbook isn't going to make it easier for him (or the receivers). I agree with your assessment about the most likely starting records though.

DA's situation is moot, the real problem is the owner is not willing to do what is necessary and clean house. There's nothing left to see regarding Dennis Allen, he'll leave New Orleans a loser just like he left Oakland.

Everyone will get their wish. Carr will get killed this year, Haener will play until he gets killed after a few games. And then Rattler will get his turn by Nov or Dec. Allen will get fired. But Loomis won’t, but needs to be.

Entire house cleaning. Hopefully we get a competent gm and the the lions OC.

If they lose AT HOME to Carolina, it’s over for everyone

This is the correct answer. Too many people are going to blame Carr, but if this O line doesn't get it together it won't matter who you have as QB.

I don't feel like our Oline will be any worse than it was last year. (which was bad)

You've swapped your blackhole from LT to RT. LT will be solid, Center will be solid, RG will again be barely passable, and LG will be a revolving door if Saldiveri can't stay healthy. I don't see Penning playing much again this season. He has zero confidence and you can't teach that. Whether or not he made any technical improvements his off season trainer even said he's a guy that has no trust in himself. (in response to the Arizona game). Penning may even be a training camp cut depending on if they can bring in another tackle. It would not surprise me at all.

That's a terrible line but no worse than last season. Settle in for a 7-9 win season.

Until Loomis is gone and a real football exec takes over the operation, it won't matter.

DA couldn’t win with prime Brady or Marino, much less Derek Carr.

Any other coach would see that he would be 0-6 with Rat or Haener.

Hopefully she passes soon and leaves the Saints and Pelicans in a public trust. This regime will never have accountability under her watch

DA goes before Carr in that scenario.

Say we start 4-0, will Carr or Allen get any credit, or will the board look for every other reason to explain the wins?

Only asking because the question in the OP appears to want to put 100% of the losses squarely on Carr.

Another year.

We literally cannot feasibly get rid of him until after next season, and I doubt they are going to let that amount of money sit on the bench.

We are stuck with him for 2 seasons.

As many problems as I have with Gayle, I hope she lives another 25 years.

I really don't want to think of what it may look like after her.

I don't know. Being that Carr can somewhat 'see' what is coming at him on the right side, he'll either make horrible throws resulting in an INT, or throw the ball away.

If it were his blind-side, I'd agree more on him not lasting past the first 5 games. I just think it's going to be ugly on the offensive side of the ball, with zero production.

Hopefully this doesn't give Allen an 'out' due to the front office saying, "Oh Carr is only looking bad because of no pass protection"
