Holy crap, going out is expensive now

We old, we don’t go out very often other than for dinner, and maybe grab a drink or two at the local watering hole.
We went to the Texas Club tonight to see Cowboy Mouth (I haven’t been there in nearly 30 years).
We didn’t drink much and our tab was $130. That was 4 adults and I snuck my 18 yo daughter a couple drinks.
$6 beers, $16 mixed drinks, $4 for a soda w/ lime, $5 for a Dr Pepper. MrsAntiqueTiger did a shot with our other daughter, that was $22.
frick I’m old.
FYI, it’s not illegal for someone between 18-21 to drink at a bar, if they are with their parents. It just depends if the bar/restaurant allows it. I’m not sure if the Texas Club does, so we just snuck her a couple.

Last time i went to Texas Club i was a college freshman in the mid 1990s.. my friends and i had a strategy that if we showed up immediately after the male stripper night , which i believe was on Wednesday nights- the womenfolk would be all hot and bothered and would somehow latch on to our broke, skinny, geeky college freshman selves, and that we’d have to beat them off with baseball bats…. Spoiler alert: Things did not go as planned .

5 people drank alcohol for $26 each at a live music concert in 2024 and that’s too expensive?
Funny how you are OK with yourself making a very healthy margin on your goods that you peddle but don’t like it when a bar just tries to make a moderate one.

I mean if it was $6 beers that's only 4 beers each after a tip, hardly enough to get through a night of music.
It sucks antique but yes going out and drinking is pretty expensive.
