It's time for an insurrection on Music Row in Nashville.

Nashville country has been pop for decades. Texas country/red dirt is where it’s at

The guys song has been on repeat in every bar/restaurant,/store in America for the past 6 months, I don't think most people are just being introduced to him. And radio country music has sucked for decades now.

Real Country music got put on life support with the rise of Garth Brooks & officially died when Waylon Jennings passed away.

Listen to Pandora (southern rock station) everyday during my daily exercise. Strangely enough, yesterday a song pops up that I never heard. About halfway thru I hit skip and looked at the artist.....this shaboozey dude was the artist. Never heard of him and based on what i heard yesterday, not likely to add him to my playlists.

Damn, I just saw him at full throttle saloon!

I don't listen to a ton of newer music but I heard this shithead on the radio the other day. You can tell that he was black by his voice, and waht caught my attention immediately is that his hit popular song is just a shitty new wave """country""" rendition of J-kwon's tipsy. Like this guy thought "hey that song was a banger 20 years ago...what if I made a remake of it but for college aged white females?"
Idk why it makes me so annoyed but it does. nevermind yes I do know. Because it takes zero talent or skill or creativity whatsoever to do what he's doing and yet he's worldwide famous and almost surely rich. While I'm sure there are loads of actually talented musicians out there in a basement somewhere that no one will ever hear of. Oh well, that's life I guess!

No, it just moved from Nashville to places like Austin, Stillwater, Lubbock, Beaumont, etc.

Beaumont
I’m gonna need some explanation here. Just for that city being listed.

When I hear Beaumont and music first thing I think of are Johnny and Edgar Winter.

He had an awesome song on the Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse soundtrack. Not country at all. Took me awhile to realize it was him

I like him. There is room in country for a lot of different sounds now days.

As far as local scenes go, Bakersfield >>>>>>> Nashville
