I just happen to be bumping the Taylor thread because its August, and this popped up right after, so ideal timing.

Smuggler's Blues was released in 1984. The song was used in 1985 for a season one episode of the same name that Frey guest starred in. This was the only episode Glenn acted in. He was supposed to reprise the role in the season two episode Trust Fund Pirates but couldn't do to touring. Instead, Gary Cole played Jackson Crane, who was a friend of Jimmy Cole, Frey's character.
The first episode of season two, The Prodigal Son, featured the song You Belong to the City, which Frey wrote for Miami Vice. Both songs appear on the Miami Vice soundtrack.

Perfect choice
Such a great video and beautiful song
one of my favorite U2 songs
Even though it breaks my Heart every time I hear it
