What's the deal with the GOPs obsession with the "black vote"

I don't get it. Is this some sort of way for Boomers to finally be vindicated for being called racists the last 60 years?
I would love to see 15-20% of the black vote, if for no other reason it would mean that black voters are be coming more objective in their politics.
But the real demographic that Republicans constantly ignore, is right under their nose. And that is white men. If they could shore up this segment and actually get them to the polls, it would be much more impactful than moving the black vote a couple % points.

I literally had this same discussion yesterday.
What the Republican's could use is the white suburban female vote, but they are all off the reservation and woke af.

IMO the black vote can be influenced more than 70+ year old democrats that vote based on history and are out of touch with reality because they don’t know how the internet works.

Most polls show all men leaning right, including the younger generations.

The voting record says otherwise.

12% of the electorate which trends 90-95% Dem.
Cutting a 19-1 ratio down means that the Dems’ most reliable voting bloc is suddenly worth less to them, meaning they can’t take them for granted.

Woke white women will essentially do what any black person tells them to do to avoid the risk of being called racist.
Yes, it’s mentally ill but it’s true. This applies to woke beta men too
Win one over -> win the other.

If Blacks wake up and stop voting as sheep, it’s game over for leftists. Trump getting 15% of black vote makes the election fraud proof…the math doesn’t work.
Thus the emphasis, not to mention how has voting D served blacks. Look at the destruction of their families and schools.
Blacks are really only getting statues removed and street names after blacks in return for their blind loyalty.

20% of the black vote would make the democrats never win a national election and lose their stranglehold on inner cities.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but hasn’t Trump been steadily pulling more black votes over his last 2 campaigns?

The demographics of the country are moving away from your typical white person. If anything, it’s a good thing that the Republican Party is trying to reach out to more minorities, for many reasons.

I don’t think it’s an obsession more so a voter block that is typically pandered to during election season.
Most blacks see thru the shite and they know 4 years under Trump was better than the direction we are going. Especially since the dems have catered to the illegals.

Because we want ALL Americans to prosper.
Democrats have never stopped being the party of slavery and the last 60 years of empty promises to the black American voters has proven that.

Because the people that run the GOP don't want the GOP to become a full on party for White people. Might actually win elections if that were to happen.

Trump wont get the majority of the black vote so this isnt true

He's probably doing marginally better, but the numbers seem to indicate otherwise. LINK
The only group he might be doing well with is black men, but black women do not like him at all.

It's a voting block that is pretty solidly in the Democrat encampment. If you figure that 12 to 15% of the US population is black, then it certainly makes sense not to abandon it and cede it to your opponent. That's Not seeking the black vote is conceding 1 out of every seven or eight voters to your opponent guaranteed.
When you consider that presidential elections have generally been pretty tight, it makes sense to seek to garner votes from that block in order to close that small gap and flip and election. It makes absolutely NO sense to allow the Dem's an automatic 12 to 15% head start without even challenging them for it.

Yes. Black want everyone to care about their problems.
Why? They don't care about the problems of other groups.

Ha, no.
“Most” don’t follow politics and will vote against whitey no matter what.

The Dems were fraudulently claiming the black vote, under the premise that
a) blacks largely vote as a block, and
b) Kamala is black
The 2nd is false, but I don’t know how much difference that makes in the block voting.
