A ‘beautiful’ woman, who was tragically mauled to death by her pet dog during a reported seizure at home, has been mourned by her devastated family and neighbors.
The victim of the horrific attack, identified locally as 33-year-old mother of two, Kelly Reilly, was pronounced dead at the scene in her council-owned home in Wood End, Coventry on Monday. Despite immediate treatment by ambulance crews, her life could not be saved.
The dog involved in the incident has been seized by police and is currently under assessment. It is not believed to belong to a banned breed.
Neighbors told the Mirror that the dog, allegedly an XL Bully, had recently been given to Kelly by another family member.
Kelly, known to have health issues, is believed to have suffered a seizure and collapsed screaming to the ground when the dog attacked her. Her partner, Noel Spring, who resides in a flat opposite in Coventry, West Midlands, made desperate attempts to save her.

A lot to unpack here.

They are. Bully can mean a bunch of things like bulldog or mastiff.

I guess they have to confirm via tests that it is in fact a pit. Surprised they even mentioned the breed.

So an XL bully is just a large pit. Looks like this...

I'd hate to see what a "banned breed" looks like.

Britain has a huge problem with descendents of the inbred XL Bully named Killer Kimbo.

I was told that they were a nanny dog and cute pictures with flowers on their head meant that they were harmless.

It's usually a cross breed between a pit and an american or english bulldog

And like clockwork, crappy dog owners find a technicality to keep dangerous breeds around. And this is what you get.
“It’S nOt A pIT bUlL!!! It’S a XL BuLLy!!!”

First off
Then what the hell is a XL bully? I can imagine, It's likely a ghetto breed but I've never heard this term.

Sad story and RIP.
Don't blame the dog. "Pit just doing pit things". They were bred to maul and that's what they do. Trying to turn them onto a common lovable house dog may have repercussions.
