An actual article about the incident/event

The far-right activist Tommy Robinson “could face jail” after screening a documentary against high court orders at a demonstration in central London on Saturday, according to the anti-racism group Hope Not Hate.
The film, Silenced, repeated false claims he made about a Syrian refugee that led to him losing a libel case in 2021. Robinson is due to appear at a high court hearing on Monday accused of contempt of court for making the documentary.
Nick Lowles of Hope Not Hate wrote on X: “Tommy Robinson is currently screening the film Silenced in Trafalgar Square, just 48 hours before he appears in the High Court accused of breaking an injunction preventing him from releasing the film.. He’s heading to jail.

A post put out by his official account on X, formerly known as Twitter, this afternoon said: 'EMERGENCY ADMIN POST - PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE!!!!
'We can confirm that Tommy Robinson has been detained by Police using powers afforded to them under the Terrorism Act 2000.
'That's right, you read that correctly, Tommy is being held by Police using counter terrorism legislation.
'We will update you as and when we can.'
MailOnline has been unable to independently confirm that Robinson has been arrested.
The Metropolitan Police has told MailOnline is 'does not recognise' the claims made in the post and that if he had been taken into custody there was 'no Met involvement'.

Wouldn't shock me if this happened in the US in a leftist city in 10+ years

That article wasn’t subjective at all.

Man. That guy has been targeted and fricked over by the progressive British government several times. He's a true patriot to his country. If your not familiar with his story, check him out. Several videos on YouTube.

Regardless of the political slant of the publications, we know which ones are more reliable on reporting fats.

10's of 1000's of proud flag waving native Britrs showing their love of country = "terrorism".
Identical to what's happening here in this country.

The Guardian is more reliable?!?

This is their own description of themselves
I don’t guess anyone should be surprised that you believe “the leading liberal voice” is some bastion of truth-telling

Brits, from the Britain, showing their love for being British.
It’s rather insane to me that by doing so, these guys are branded as terrorists.
Then again, if you voted for Trump, then the Dems consider you to not be just terrorists, but (ironically, given the actions of the Dems) fascist.

You were the one claiming the article posted was beyond reproach. I’m just pointing out that the source should be questioned, especially with that lead in sentence.

You’re just trolling.
I'm calling out shitty right-wing echo chamber sources posting bullshite.
I'm making no comment on my personal opinions of the propriety of the substance of the situation.
