You think it could have been a little taller

Maybe they built it that height so that you could see the Mississippi River bridge in your shot. Will look great at night with our LED light show.

It's tall enough. You don' wanna obstruct the view of the Mississippi River bridge

It will never be ready in time.

Proof that no matter what LSU fans will find something to bitch about.

Gonna miss the old geometry of the last one with the old tiger head logo at the top. This will be badass though.

That just went up today? About damn time, Aug is next week

It was funny hearing a bunch of fans on the board bemoaning the LED light shows that LSU we behind on. I hope it was just jealousy as opposed to our fans turning into Georgia fans who get angry if you’re not sitting the whole game so their view isn’t interrupted.
The only hope I have is that they play neck for the first one.

One important concept in design is “hierarchy”. You don’t want to make the scoreboard so large relative to the stadium that it becomes the primary element.

I work at LSU. I’ve watched this develop. There is skinny room between the wall of tiger stadium and the fence at road down Tiger Walk. Cranes can’t maneuver around like they could otherwise . Delivering steel and other products for this project is a logistical nightmare with traffic. Just saying it will finish when they finish.

There's two other screens to look at if you don't like the height of that one

I’m surprised that bridge motif didn’t make it into the stadium somewhere.

It’s taller than the previous scoreboard. I was big critic, but it looks good.
I still think the stadium needs a lot of upgrades and should be done in one fell swoop and not over 25 years.

No hurry. As long as it works right by September 7!

It is basically the same size as Auburn's scoreboard

Gonna miss the old geometry of the last one with the old tiger head logo at the top.

This new scoreboard is smaller than Auburn's, so it's already obsolete and the only ads on the AU board are a few very small ones at the bottom.
LSU's new board will most likely be covered in permanent ad crap. We'll see.

Are the sections left empty to left and right of scoreboard reserved for hard ads?
God I hope not

It looks like the height of the overall structure is the same as the highest portion of the previous board but the screen itself is 32% taller and with more than 2.5 times the area.
