Trump I believe will get a cease fire and hopefully a permanent ageeement……
It will probably involve continued western assistance and security guarantees and Ukraine stays out of NATO

Trump probably told Zelensky that once that F16 arrive in Ukraine he has until Jan to show functional gains or he will force a peace deal with both sides agreeing on the new Russian border as the current lines and Ukraine being able to join NATO in 5 years.
And here is the thing…. If Ukraine can use the F16s to neuter the crimea of all legitimate threats, the Ukraine can then use the Crimea as a bargaining chip. If they can’t make gains then this war is going to go on forever as a slaughter of a generation on both sides.
Essentially show us something or we are going to force a peace deal. Which in itself is a fairly balanced solution for Ukraine.

What is going to happen is that Trump is going to support Ukraine and even if we get a ceasefire, we will pay for security...people will just blame Biden.
I imagine even if an unrelated conflict emerges, and we step in, it will be excused b/c it will be blamed on Biden, too.

That part will be all on EU and Russia.
If Britain and France wanted this war so much to continue, they should pay for rebuild of what's a husk of Ukraine now.
Ukraine loses the areas of Donbass Russia claimed. Russia pays for a restitution percentage of rebuild costs of Ukraine.
That's about the best Ukraine can get, unless they spiral into civil war beforehand. Which they will, of course, but I don't believe there will be a 2nd war campaing by Russia in the next 5 years.

Not everyone is a complete dumbass to pour hundreds of billions of dollars into the economy of one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
