I've had a clic gear for around 10 years and it's held up great. Highly recommend.

I’ll piggy back off of this. I’ve been thinking about walking with a pushcart vs riding. Does pace of play slow down a lot? My group does not want to walk but I would like to get the extra exercise. Could I realistically play with 2 others riding if I’m walking?

yes, if they are in the same cart it's more than doable

Empty course? Cart is faster.
Packed course? Walking is more enjoyable

I bought a new Clicgear 4.0 about 8 months ago. Zero complaints thus far and I feel like I play better walking vs riding.

This is my Walker Trolley. It’s coming up on 3 years old. Love using it, but right now it’s so hot and humid that I’m riding most rounds.

When I can swing again(6 weeks at soonest), I plan to join the bunches of guys who have gotten nice push carts with umbrella.

Clic Gear is high quality stuff and easy to recommend but a bit heavier than alternatives. I'd take a look at many things in person before picking something out. Larger diameter wheels roll easier.

I have been a walker my entire golfing life. I'm currently age 43. I have never held up anyone playing in a cart. The fact you get to walk straight to your ball and prepare to hit as fast as you want makes it easy. You dont get slowed down by others except for the green and that applies to riders anyway. 4 regular golfers walking is just about the same pace as 4 regular golfers in 2 carts. 4 regular golfers in 4 carts will be faster than 4 walkers. Fast golfers are still fast golfers when they walk. Slow golfers are still slow golfers when they ride.
It also seems easier to find balls when walking if you are good at watching your ball down. You just get the line to the landing spot and walk until you get to it. When you ride in a cart, you can't just go straight to where your ball was meaning you have to have a good handle on the distance it went and the line.
If it is a cart-path-only day, walking is faster than riding in a cart.

This is the current situation. I can't walk morning rounds right now due to that humidity. I can't keep anything dry. It's futile.

Walking with a push cart is my favorite way to play. You can play just as fast as a cart most of the time. When it is cart path only you can play significantly faster with a push cart. It is great to get steps in and I tend to play much better when I am using mine.

This is the one I have and I walk ALOT. Going on 4 years and the only issue I had had is the ubmrella holder broke. Okay, I broke it.
I have a few friends that bought the rear wheel adapter to make it remote controllable rather than pushing and I'm not gonna lie....I'm kinda jealous

Agree. Or this other Caddytek. I have the one linked here but my daughter uses it for PGA Jr League so I am getting one like you have shown.

I have Caddytek Lite 1. The only thing I wish it did was have the brake on the handle vs stepping on the wheel lock gizmo.

Wheel lock doesn't bother me. Rarely use it. Turn cart sideways on a side hill. No problems.

I used a clic gear for several years, then switched to remote controlled electric cart shown earlier in the thread. Agree with all stated above. The electric cart saves my lower back going up slopes. I also like to clean my iron grooves while I’m walking., which I can do with the electric cart. It takes a while to get used to using the remote, but after a while it’s second nature. The only negative of the electric cart is that, if you like to walk in the heat or rain under the umbrella, it’s not as easy to stay under the umbrella.

I walk about 1/2 the time. Some older dudes at my club that I play with sometimes all walk and I felt like a douche being a younger guy in good shape and being the only one riding in a cart
I almost certainly play better when I walk because you are thinking about your shot a lot more and you're reading the slop of the green more as you walk up.
I got the Bag Boy Compact 3 from Dicks. A little over $219. I really like it. Collapsible and an easy push.
One of the older guys I play with has the motorized one and it's pretty sweet. I'll eventually get one of those but for now the Bag Boy is perfectly fine. Walk 10 or so rounds and it pays for itself.
